Experts have expressed concern over the emergence of another very rapid outbreak of the corona virus.

This new type of  Omikron is currently spreading rapidly in many countries.

The BA 2.75, also known as the Centaurus, was first discovered in India in early May 2022.

BA 2.75 has so far been discovered in more than 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Germany and Canada.

This new type of corona is also being monitored by the World Health Organization and according to Dr. Sumia Swami Nathan, an official of the organization, the number of samples available for BA 2.75 is insufficient.

Dr. Tom Peacock was the first to identify the Omicron variety in November 2021 and now says that this new variety is capable of surpassing BA5.
